                            breastfeeding foods to avoid

Breastfeeding foods to avoid When I had my first son, I was like every first-time mother out there. What breastfeeding foods to voids, this was my one million dollar question. https://www.momandthefamily.com/newborn-baby-care-here-are-some-important-tips/I need to know now that my little one is here. I was so nervous not knowing that everything I eat, will go through the breast milk. then it came to me when I was pregnant, my doctor told me what food to avoid, and it hates me, the same menu you would not eat while you were pregnant; it should be pretty much the same. Then I started to do my research to be sure and take the guessing game out.

here are my foundings:

  • Drinking alcohol

The study shows that one glass of wine is ok, and it will not harm the baby. Breastfeeding and Special Circumstances | Breastfeeding

Not drinking alcohol is the safest option for breastfeeding mothers. Generally, moderate alcohol consumption by a breastfeeding mother (up to 1 standard drink per day) is not known to be harmful to the infant, especially if the mother waits at least 2 hours after a single glass of alcohol before nursing

I don’t think it is safe to have a glass of alcohol while breastfeeding. There is no level of alcohol in the breast milk that’s considered safe for a baby to drink. When you drink alcohol, it passes into your breast milk. Also, while you are pregnant, you are not allowed to drink alcohol due to it being harmful to the development of the baby. It can damage and affect the growth of the baby’s cells brain.

  •              Fish

Fish to stay away from are: The following fish should be avoided during pregnancy because they are higher in mercury, which can be harmful at very high levels.

  • Shark.
  • Swordfish.
  • King mackerel.
  • Tilefish.
  • Bigeye tuna (found in sushi)
  • Marlin.
  • Orange roughy.
  •                 foods that cause gas in breastfed babies

When you are breastfeeding, we have to watch out for the food that we eat. Some of the food can be very gassy for the baby. And these are some of the reasons they cry or fuss.

Here are some of the foods that we should avoid while breastfeeding.

Milk,

cheese,

 yogurt,

 pudding,

 ice cream,

or any food that has milk products

, casein,

whey,

 or sodium caseinate in it

. Other grains, too — like wheat, corn, fish, eggs, or peanuts — can cause problems.

Cruciferous Vegetables include kale, broccoli, bok choy, cauliflower, cabbage, brussels sprouts, radishes, kale, collard greens, kohlrabi, rutabaga, and watercress. They are infamous among breastfeeding moms for making a breastfed baby gassy.

These are some of the food to be aware of when you are breastfeeding. I strongly recommend you contact your doctor before consuming any of these foods if you are not sure.
